Hands writing notes in a notebook beside a laptop

Yes, we help Bengaluru scholars with the thesis itself, whether you’re at Bangalore University, Bengaluru City University, VTU, IISc, CHRIST or an RGUHS college. For VTU, that means a research centre in one of the city’s engineering colleges. We help in three ways. We plan the chapters with you, we review each chapter you draft in detail, and we do a final format pass set to your own university’s rules. The work is done remotely from Nagercoil, over video calls, email and WhatsApp. The writing stays yours the whole way through.

Why a separate page for Bengaluru? Because the city’s universities disagree on almost every mechanical detail. Lay a thesis out for Jnana Bharathi and it has the wrong margins for VTU in Belagavi. It has the wrong reference system and the wrong page order too. And neither layout matches what CHRIST or IISc ask for. What follows comes from each university’s current regulations, templates and handbooks. We name the clause or document so you can check it yourself. Last reviewed September 2026.

Quick answers

Will you write my Bangalore University or VTU thesis chapters?

No. You write each chapter. We read it the way a demanding examiner would, and send back comments and tracked changes. A thesis drafted by someone else is ghost-writing. Universities treat that as misconduct, and it can cost you the degree.

Which parts of the thesis work can I buy?

You can buy any stage on its own. That might be a chapter plan, or reviews of chapter drafts, or help framing the literature review. It might be advice on presenting results, or a check of the introduction, conclusion and abstract. Or it might be a final integration, language and format pass. The number of review rounds is written into your scope.

How long does one chapter review take?

For a chapter of 30 to 50 pages, our review takes 7 to 10 working days per round. A whole thesis usually takes 4 to 9 months to go from draft to ready-to-submit. Most of that depends on how complete your research is.

Is there a fixed price list?

No rate card. We look at your objectives, results and drafts. Then, before any work begins, we give a fixed written quote for the stages you choose. You pay stage by stage, and you can stop after any stage.

Do I see a similarity figure before my university checks?

Yes. Every chapter we return carries a full similarity report. But checkers and settings give different numbers. So nobody can honestly promise you a percentage in advance.

What does Bangalore University prescribe for the thesis and the final synopsis?

Almost everything is in the Regulations Governing the Degree of Doctor of Philosophy, 2024. Clause 17 sets the order of events, and Appendices 1 to 9 give the pages themselves.

  1. Requisition and final synopsis. A full-time scholar can submit after three years and must do so within five. A part-timer can submit after four and must within six. You ask for permission with five copies of the final synopsis, sent through your supervisor to the Registrar (Evaluation). The clause lets you do this up to six months before the minimum period ends. But no synopsis moves unless all your earlier progress reports are on file (clause 17.2).
  2. Colloquium. Before the final synopsis, you face a pre-submission colloquium in the university PG department. You present your method and the data you collected and analysed (clause 17.3). The chairperson forwards the proceedings. Our pre-submission seminar guide covers how to prepare.
  3. Thesis. Within six months of permission, four copies go through the chairperson and supervisor (clause 17.4). Each copy has four things bound in. There’s your declaration (Appendix 3) and the supervisor’s declaration (Appendix 4). There’s the evaluation certificate, signed by chairperson and supervisor (Appendix 5). And there’s a plagiarism report certified by the University Library.
  4. After the viva. Two hard copies and two PDFs of the corrected thesis go to the Registrar (Evaluation) for the library and the UGC (clause 20.3).

The synopsis has its own template in Appendix 6. It runs to 12 to 14 pages of A4 in Times New Roman 12 at 1.5 spacing, and each part has a page budget. Background gets two pages and the review of literature gets six. The rationale and scope get one and a half. The problem and hypotheses get one, research methods one, and the tentative chapters two at most. The literature section must be organised by theme. The appendix says plainly that a list of summaries will not do.

The thesis order is fixed at twelve items, from the cover page to the references. Annexures go before the reference list. The regulations also define “references” as an alphabetical list of the works you cite, and they say it is not a bibliography. Did you learn a numbered style in your master’s? Then this is the change most likely to cost you a week.

Dr. Manmohan Singh Bengaluru City University took its 2026–27 batch under the same Bangalore University Ph.D. Regulations 2024. That’s from its notification of 18 February 2026. The notification doesn’t mention the thesis format, though. So before you print, ask the Registrar (Evaluation) at Central College campus whether Appendix 7 applies to you.

How is the thesis different for a VTU research centre in a Bengaluru college?

Is your department in a Bengaluru engineering or management college a VTU-recognised research centre? Then you are a VTU scholar. The thesis goes to the Registrar (Evaluation) in Belagavi, under VTU’s own rules. And the layout is not the one your Bangalore University friends use:

Your own papersEvidence of two papers goes in at submission (clause 17.10)Publications list with each paper’s front page, placed before the references

The steps before submission are in the VTU Ph.D. Regulations 2023. First comes coursework, then the viva-voce that follows it. After that you give two open seminars to the Research Advisory Committee, and you publish. Then you clear a pre-submission colloquium. You get three attempts at it, each within three months of the last. The synopsis must be in English. It has to reach the committee at least three months before the thesis, with a plagiarism report from your research centre (clause 23PHD 8.1.3).

The March 2026 checklist adds two practical points. First, it puts the open seminars four months after the viva-voce and two months apart. The 2023 regulations say three and three. So ask your research centre which gap it will sign off. Second, it forbids online PDF converters. You have to turn the Word file into a PDF with Microsoft’s Print to PDF. The page order and certificate wording come from the template attached to VTU’s circular of July 2025. That circular tells guides and scholars to submit through the online portal, using the formats on VTU’s website. Our VTU thesis format guide walks through that template page by page. The VTU admission guide explains the milestones from registration.

Which Bengaluru universities want papers published before the thesis is accepted?

Every university on this page except IISc, whose handbook sets no minimum. The rules pull in different directions. Each one also decides when the papers have to exist:

  • Bangalore University counts only papers where you are first author. You need two journal articles, or failing that two conference presentations. The evidence goes in along with the thesis (clause 17.10).
  • VTU wants the proof earlier, at the pre-submission colloquium. Recent USN batches need one Scopus paper ranked in quartile Q1 to Q3, and your guide’s name must be on it.
  • CHRIST pairs two journal papers with two conference presentations. It lets a patent stand in for one of the papers (clause 12a of the 2022 regulations).
  • RGUHS sets the highest count, four papers. One of them must appear in the university’s own journal (clause 11.2 of the 2021 ordinance).

For thesis planning, the useful question is which chapters the papers come from. Say a chapter already exists as a published paper. You still have to rewrite it for the thesis and cite the paper. If you don’t, the chapter will match your own article in the similarity report.

What do IISc, CHRIST and RGUHS ask for at the submission stage?

IISc. Section 13.3 of the Student Information Handbook puts the colloquium first, then the synopsis and thesis. PhD students have six weeks after the colloquium to upload on ScholarOne. PDFs of the synopsis, the colloquium broadcast email and the fee receipt go up with it. What if examiners ask for revisions? The revised thesis and a list of changes are due within 30 days of the Dean’s decision. The oral examination must then be done within a month of its approval, by video conference or in person. Copyright stays with you.

CHRIST. The Centre for Research has format guidelines, version 1.3 of July 2025. They fix the title page in Times New Roman 14. They cap the abstract at 350 to 500 words, with at least three keywords. The style is APA for the humanities, social sciences, commerce, management and law, and IEEE for science and engineering. The draft goes in as PDF and Word files. With it go the submission proforma, the RAC approval form, the plagiarism report and the adjudication fee receipt. The 2022 regulations still speak of three identical soft-bound originals plus an emailed soft copy. So ask the Centre for Research which form it wants from you. Three appendices are compulsory. One lists your publications and presentations. One holds the RCEC ethics approval where people or animals were involved. The last holds consent forms, with personal details removed. Under the 2022 regulations, the synopsis can’t come earlier than two years after coursework. It is presented to the discipline’s faculty in an open session, and the RAC must approve it before the thesis goes for evaluation.

RGUHS. Before you write the final synopsis, the ordinance asks you to present your work to your guide, an external examiner and an observer. The synopsis then goes in as two soft and two hard copies. The thesis follows as three copies, soft and hard.

Working with us from Bangalore

Nobody from our side comes to your department in Bengaluru. We work with you remotely from Nagercoil. It starts with a video call about your objectives and drafts. Then you share chapters by email or a shared folder, and our comments come back as tracked changes. Your supervisor is still the one who approves every chapter.

What changes for a Bengaluru scholar is the calendar we plan around. At Bangalore University, the fixed points are the requisition with the final synopsis, then the six-month window for the four copies. So we count back from your minimum-period date. At VTU, the synopsis has to be ready three months before the thesis, and the colloquium may need repeating. So we put the chapter reviews well ahead of it. At IISc, the six weeks after the colloquium are too short for a first full review. Plan the reviews before you announce the colloquium.

We set the Word or LaTeX template to your university’s margins, fonts and reference system at the start, not at the end. Printing and binding stay with you and your department. So do notarised forms and posting hard copies to Belagavi or to the Registrar (Evaluation) at Jnana Bharathi. Scope and pricing are on how we work and pricing. The limits of our help are in our ethics policy.

FAQ

Questions scholars in Bangalore ask

Bangalore University wants alphabetical references. Can I keep APA?

Appendix 9 of the 2024 regulations gives its own examples. Each entry has surname, initials and year, then the title, with journal and book titles in italics. It’s an author–date system, but its punctuation differs from APA. Follow the appendix. The one exception is if your department chairperson tells you in writing that your discipline uses another style.

I am at a VTU research centre in Bengaluru. Do I have to travel to Belagavi to submit?

Not according to the documents we read. You upload the thesis on VTU’s portal. The hard copies and forms go to the Registrar (Evaluation) at Jnana Sangama, Belagavi. VTU’s formats page says you may send them by courier or post. Checking starts only once that hard copy arrives, so post it early.

Can I write my Bangalore University thesis in Kannada?

The 2024 regulations let the entrance papers be set in the regional language for PhDs in regional languages. But the clauses we read say nothing about the language of the thesis. Ask your department, in writing, before you draft. At VTU, the synopsis must be in English.

Can you review my IISc thesis in the six weeks after my colloquium?

Parts of it, if you tell us early. Each chapter round takes 7 to 10 working days. A full review of several chapters doesn’t fit comfortably in six weeks. It’s better to have the chapters reviewed before you schedule the colloquium. Then keep the six weeks for your final corrections.
